Attention ALL Seward Parents & Students:    You are invited to an interactive meeting with the KPBSD curriculum director, Dr. Doris Cannon.

 Purpose:    Talk about the curriculum revision process and to express your needs as parents and students in regards to the curriculum and the resources.

 Place/Time:  Seward Elementary library, October 26, 2012 6:30-8:00p.m.    SNACKS will be provided : )

Guitar Club starts tomorrow!!!!  Ms. McKnight will come during lunch today to get you for a quick 5-minute meeting.

Six Word Novels

Friday is the last day to submit 6 word novels.  Please remember submissions should include first and last name as well as grade level.  If this is not included submissions will be discarded.  Full submission guidelines are available outside of Ms. Lind’s classroom. 




  • Halloween is extra special this year as your class gets to visit the Book Fair during school on this day!
  • The Book Fair will also be open during parent teacher conferences on Thursday from 8-4 and Friday from 8-1. 
  • The Online Fair will be open October 24th to November 13th: www.scholastic.com/fair in case you want to shop early or decide you want to do some more shopping after the Book Fair leaves town. 

Book Fair Facts:  the average cost of a book at the Fair is $5.00.  All profits from the Fair go to buy more books for you to read!

Welcoming All Fifth and Sixth Graders to Art Club run by Madi Athey and Lilly Watkins!

Come in and do art all year round. You will find the artist in you. It will be in the Science Lab, Room 305 at Recess (12:00). We will have a guest speaker come in sometime in the year. You will need to bring: a pencil, crayons, red pens, eraser, laptop, a plain, clear notebook and your creativity. Applications can be recived from Lilly Watkins or Madi Athey. Music News!  Every Friday in November, The Seahawk’s Voice will be having a musical babysitting session from 5pm-7pm.  Cost is $10 per child (only $5/hour!).


Basketball: Due to Halloween and Parent/Teacher Conferences, Basketball will begin on Tuesday, November 6th and goes through Thursday December 6th.  Get your paperwork in soon.

Keep Recycling: Pick up on Wednesdays.
