Students, Seward Elementary Staff, and parents are invited to vote for their favorite 6 Word Novel this week. Ballots are available from classroom teachers, at the front office, and outside of Ms. Lind’s classroom door. Ballots are due by Friday, October 25th at 3:00 pm. Only one ballot per person.

The Seward Tsunami Swim Club is hosting a fun swim/tryouts and informational meeting on Sunday, November 3rd from 4:00-5:30pm at the Seward High School Pool for all interested swimmers and parents. Club membership eligible for swimmers ages 5-18.

This year SLT would like to host a Halloween Door Decorating Contest where you and your class get to decorate the inside or outside of your door with a Halloween theme! The doors will be judged on:
• originality,
• class participation, and
• neatness.
Make sure it is school appropriate! The DEADline (Ha, ha! Get it??) is Wednesday, October 23rd. Have fun!

Keep tracking your physical activity on your Healthy Futures activity log. We had 60 students who participated in the first month of the challenge! Keep up the good work!

Glacier Family Medicine Pumpkin Prowl… Saturday, October 26th for ages 9 and under at Forest Acres Park. Search for mini pumpkins, roast marshmallows and sip hot cocoa. Fun for the whole family! FREE!!!

Family Masquerade Ball: Saturday, October 26th 7 to 9pm. Following the Pumpkin Prowl walk on over to the Seward Resort and do the Monster Mash, win spooktacular prizes & don’t forget your costume!! Costume Contest at 8pm. $3 in costume, $4 no costume, $10 family. Sponsored by: Seward Resort, Polar Bear Festival & SPRD.

Seward’s Annual Halloween Carnival Thursday, October 31st from 6 to 9pm at the Dale Lindsey Railroad Terminal. It’s bigger and better than ever! Bring the whole family and enjoy the fun. Contests, games and food for everyone… applications for booths may be picked up at the High School, Sports & Rec and on our website at presented by: Seward Parks & Recreation, Seward Seahawk’s Athletic Booster Club, Teen and Youth Center Councils.
