Battle of the Books practice will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the month of November. Meet in room 303 at 7:45 ready to practice!

INTERESTING FACT: The U.S. Census reports that Americans consume 150 million hot dogs over the average Fourth of July holiday,enough to stretch from D.C. to L.A. more than five times. During peak hot dog season, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Americans typically consume 7 billion hot dogs. That’s 818 hot dogs consumed every second during that period.

Rotary’s Breakfast with Santa
Sat, Dec 19th @ the Senior Center, enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast with the big guy! Complimentary pictures with Santa, candy canes and holiday goodie bags for the kids. Limited Seating, purchase tickets by Dec 18th before 5pm, tickets available at TYC, Sports & Rec or City Hall utility counter. Call Shari at the Teen Rec Room for more info, 224-4057. 1st seating – 9am to 10am; 2nd seating 10:30 – 11:30 am.

PARKS & REC Urbach’s Youth Basketball
Kick off the season with a free basketball Jamboree Sat, Jan 9th! Player will meet the coaches, go through drill stations, work on skill development and scrimmage. League begins Jan 24th through Mar 21 for pre-school ages through 5th grade. Early bird fee due Dec 11th, sign up by Dec 18th to receive a complimentary team jersey.

TYC After School Program
TYC After School Program is in full swing. Grades K-5 are welcome to join us for some activities and excitement after school Monday – Friday. We offer a wide variety of activities daily including crafts, sports, cooking and team challenges. We offer homework help Monday – Thursday from 3:30-4pm and Participation in The Activity Challenge every day will earn you awards. We also offer “Schools Out” Day Camps, Programs on Early Release days and Winter/
Scholarships applications are available, just ask Josie. Call 224-5472
