WORD OF THE DAY: culture n. Definition: 1. artistic and intellectual pursuits and products. 2. development or improvement of the mind by education or training. 3. the sum total of ways of living built up by a group of human beings and transmitted from one generation to another. Example: The high school students had to read Plato’s writings for their class on Western Culture. Synonyms: education, experience, traditions

INTERESTING FACT: Lenticular cloud facts! This special type of cloud is often mistaken for a UFO. These clouds form above a mountain when a breeze creates a number of ‘standing’ waves on the downwind side of the mountain. If the temperature is right the moisture will condense to produce a lens or saucer shaped cloud. These clouds can be dangerous for pilots of large planes who avoid flying over these clouds due to the turbulence above them. Glider pilots, however, seek them out!
